I have a great passion for the Port of Edmonds and am immensely proud of being part of a highly effective organization that provides increasing value to residents of the Port District and the greater community. The Port has continuously worked hard to enhance our marina and community waterfront amenities, create family-wage jobs at our Port and commercial facilities, create a spectacular waterfront enjoyed by thousands of visitors and boaters, provide unparalleled recreational and economic opportunities for our marina and commercial tenants, and expand tourism by providing a base for a highly successful commercial whale watching venture and supporting waterfront festivals, jazz and art events, and waterfront environmental programs.
The impressive revenues generated by our marina, maritime, and commercial ventures, combined with our effective control of expenses and bonding costs, have allowed us to keep Port taxes low for the past 10 years in the face of ever-increasing local taxes.
I bring a strong resume of business, maritime, and environmental experience to the Port Commission and am endorsed by many bipartisan community leaders, port district residents, and tenants. I would greatly appreciate your vote to continue the Port’s unparalleled record of success and community contribution.
Because results and experience matter.
